Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Something Daas has seen a lot of pakhand of is the idea of Manmat, (those without desire for Guru Sahib), love has brought down the idea of Gurmat of what it means to truly love anything, (from Vaheguru to the near person). The great thing is once you love Vaheguru, you will be able to love all things, instead of the idea of being obsessed in the infatuation of certain individuals; while not being controlled by the 5 evils. Jab lag ras ṯab lag nahī nehu. ||1|| rahā▫o. As long as there is attachment to pleasure, there can be no spiritual love. ||1||Pause||" (Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Ang 328) (The Gurmukhi script has been restored.) So the key is that Moh, (attachment), and Prem, (love), are not the same concept. An example from Sikh history is that Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had Prem, (love), for his Sahibzadey;(Ajit, Jujhar, Zorawar, and Fateh); however, he was not attached, and that was true love according to Gurmat.
Some other Pakhand going around is that the idea of Kaam, (lust), being love; however, this is also not true either, as Kaam is an obsessive desire towards some want; (usually in sexual aspects), this takes us away from actually growing with whoever. Today many people have been controlled by many main aspects such as Pornography and other Lustful things; as those trying to follow Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji; we must be strong and use the power given to us by Guru Sahib to combat lust. Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji once said in his own bani not to even in dreams sleep with another person of the opposite gender; other than once's own spouse; so how would it be better by any other scenario? Vaheguru, hopefully we understand the difference between Prem and the 2 evils; Moh and Kaam, and realize which side is the side of Gurmat. Vaheguru, Bhul Chuk Maaf Karni, (Forgive Any Mistakes From Daas), Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
